After several years of pediatric nursing, I am now focusing on prenatal education. I provide private, in home childbirth, breastfeeding and newborn care instruction. Classes are developed according to the client's individual needs and scheduled at their convenience. Childbirth is a rite of passage like no other in a woman's life and will be remembered in great detail for years to come. By providing clients with evidence-based information, decisions regarding care can be made with confidence. My hope is every woman will look back on their birth experience with joy and a sense of accomplishment.

I am certified as a childbirth instructor and doula with the American Academy of Husband Coached Childbirth, (AAHCC) the organization overseeing The Bradley Method of Natural Childbirth. In 2006, I became a Certified Breastfeeding Counselor and am continuing my education in the field of lactation support. This year I begin my birth and postpartum doula certification with DONA International. Giving birth is an experience that the mother will remember for the rest of her life, and I take seriously my commitment to empower her through education, and nurture and protect her memory of her birth and postpartum experience.
